Here you will find a collection of information and links relating to the entry, stay and return journey of refugees from Ukraine.
Return Journey
Travel to Ukraine is not strictly prohibited. However, if a person in need of protection stays in their native country or country of origin for more than 15 days per quarter, the SEM can revoke temporary protection in Switzerland. The SEM refrains from revocation if the foreign person has undertaken the trip (lasting more than 15 days per quarter) due to being forced or to prepare for the permanent return to their home country or country of origin.
If a person in need of protection has moved the focus of their living arrangements abroad, the temporary protection in Switzerland expires. The SEM examines each individual case individually. For a stay abroad of two months or more, a change in the center of life is assumed, but the assumption can be refuted (e.g. in the case of temporary study stays of more than two months or work-related assignments abroad).
